The Lone Tree

The seasons do not hinder, nor bring arduous challenge.
For there you are, resolute and stoic, isolated yet adoringly marvelled.
Stretched and reaching as far as your own growth.
Creaking with the winds that blow until their last breath.
Releasing old life that sways and falls to your very birth.
Bringing rebirth through confined wise energy, Creating new forms of yet to be pressed patterns.
Shade that slowly moves, widens, dapples then.. disappears.Â
Panoramic views always and forever will hold you.

Hi Nigel, thank you so very much for your appreciation ? I have always loved & appreciated trees, since the was a child. If only they could talk! Ah, there could be a poem in that last sentence ?Â
Beautiful poem Tracey. As a tree lover I enjoyed reading this. I always hug a few trees when I´m out walking in the mountains. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you for your kind appreciation of this piece, Tony. I’d love to see more of them in our towns & cities & far more being planted all over the world. So many don’t appreciate the positive impact they have on our beautiful planet.Â
