The Mercy Of The Heart

The torments of my beloved

The Mercy Of The Heart

My troubled beloved, what is wrong that hollows your once sweet eyes?
The grievances of your heart sour the honey in your orbs which were once filled with joy.

Have your lips sealed in fear of rejection?
For I will never turn my back on the hardships you bear, so long as you entrust me with this burden which lies on your tired shoulders

Can you embrace my warmth? So that your limp soul may defrost from the cold torment of this world.
My arms, forever holding a mould of your body, ready to be filled by your command.

My hand is hollow, as it craves to be held by my beloved.
For hands are meant to be held, not hung by my side

For my hands deviate from purpose and gears towards pleasing my Rabb.
Raised in dua, for myself to my beloved, for his pain to melt away in the tears we have both secretly shed.

Never fear my love, for your choking silence will be relieved by the mercy of my heart's dua for you.
So that your fatigued shoulders may stand fortified, and that the sweetness of your honey eyes returns to enjoy the pleasures of this world once more.
