The Messenger

Angel
A shift in the air around me
A subtle awareness of my breath
A mirror like figure appears with light streaming forth from the eyes
I was startled
Not prepared for this visitor
Who can prepare for such?
A glimpse of divine nature
Of the power that created this world
And the next
My prayer still hung in my thoughts
The  anguish I was feeling, the utter
Despair one human can produce
Brought this messenger to me
I sank into the floor
Overwhelmed by the sight
Struck by the instant realization
That He was real
That my savior was as real as
This guardian
That He loved me and felt my pain
I was not forsaken
We matter to Him
Our troubles are not unseen or
Ignored.
They are to be counted as all blessings
That our suffering is not in vain
We have a God of infinite love
And this live as grace is freely
given
AS the light faded and my glimpse of a supernatural God ebbed
I became aware of my breathing
The light if dawn through my window
The blinking of my alarm clock at
3:33am
The hour of souls.....the number of the ministry of Christ....the hour I had been awaken this entire week.
And now this,    " you doubt me as you doubt yourself, you see your life in terms of win or lose, as success or failure.  I am the divining rod!! I am the ultimate judge of this world.
Your faith in the gifts of this world is misplaced.... You are in my arms and no other accolade no other achievement shall be needed"
I am now set straight my Lord!
I am yours
