The Mighty Oak Tree 🌳
There stands an old Oak tree as tall as strong towers
Deciduously evanescent with glory and glowers
Cascading clusters of yellow catkin, cylindrical flowers
That always wept like weeping willows from waterfall showers
Now this great big Oak tree is so ancient and old
As it weathers all weathers, through scorching to cold
Whilst branches are bowed with the weight of it’s hold
And as it sways through the centuries, many stories are told
So yon Motherly nature nurtures this mighty Oak tree
As she watches over her woodlands far away from the sea
Drying her drenches so naturally
From her pouring rains and the winds that blows blustery
I walk through this fantastic forest on my ambling leisure
And as I sit and rest for a while I see this colossal old treasure
Such a spectacular, stately specimen much to majestic to measure
Thanking good old Mother Earth for the enchantment of such an everlasting pleasure…
