The mirror's surface

The mirror's surface

The mirror’s surface moves and ripples
Two eyes for rocks
Each pupil triples and comes to a stop
And the illusion slowly rots

Hear the scratching of nails against glass
It tries to escape
Yet the mirror shows no cracks
Giving in to its ugly shape
