The Monsters Of Myanmar- Rajuma’s Story

The Monsters Of Myanmar- Rajuma’s Story

Our dearest heroine Rajuma, survived such brutal atrocities;
Brought by the monsters from Myanmar, as inhuman as can be!
It happened in late August, at Tula Toli, a little town;
In the western state of Rakhine, innocent blood spilling all around!

.
In the early morning hours, Rajuma was cooking a potato filled curry;
With her little boy beside her, she saw soldiers approaching hurriedly!
Her family quickly tried escaping, but were herded to a riverbank;
They separated the men from all the women, the former to their knees in fear they sank!

.
They kissed the feet of these wanton soldiers, and begged them for their lives;
But their pleas fell upon such deaf ears, as they were massacred with knives!
Rajuma clung onto her little boy, as she witnessed this carnage and she cried;
Then two soldiers came and clubbed her, ripped her baby from her side!

.
She watched in utter horror, his legs wiggling in the air;
These demons threw him in a fire, more pain can any Mother bear!
Then they dragged her to her small house, and raped her repeatedly;
After, they killed her sisters, little brother and her mother, such unheard of tragedy!

.
She laid motionless for hours, thinking she really now was dead;
But she woke, and the soldiers had departed, from her village she then fled!
She hid out in a unknown forest, til the morning sun arose;
Then somehow made her way to Bangladesh, where the border river flows!

.
Multitudes had fled there, to escape the cleansing of their race;
Rohingya Muslims are being slaughtered, just because of their religious faith!
She told this story to Jeffrey Gettleman, a New York Times reporter on the scene;
As her tears fell for her loved ones, the saddest he’d ever seen!

.
.
                                               Rohingya people
                               The world now knows of your plight
                                         Help will come your way

.
I plead with all my compassionate poets on Cosmo, we must form some sort of coalition, to help these brutalized people out. Please let’s bond together, and plan a route for their path to survival.

Dear Larry- what a terrible catalogue of horror and to allow this to happen makes us all responsible...how do we stop this? The description of  Poetry is 'an imaginative awareness of experience expressed through meaning, sound and rhythmic language choices so as to evoke an emotional response' and this you have certainly  succeeded at Larry!

My Dear Lodigiana,

When I read of these horrors, I asked myself, "What kind of inhumane monsters are capable of such atrocities"?  Rajumas plight has troubled me deeply, and I am amazed that somehow she has found the inner strength to go on living, and not take her own life.  I failed to mention that there are 100,000 refugees in the Bangladesh camps, and the country is not how many will be allowed to stay.  I don't know how we, as humanitarians, could help these people.  I am going to call the New York Times tomorrow, and see if they would be interested in setting up a relief fund for these poor people.  Thank you for your lovely words.

Hugs, Peace and Love,
Larry xxx

My Dear Friend Jai,

Yes, it is beyond belief that such monsters exist.  I cried when I read the article.  Thank you for your kind words.  By the way, I love when you call it, "Burma", and tell them to stick the name Myanmar up their asses.

Luv back from Larry xxx

Dear Gerard,

Love and Hate.   Such powerful emotions.  Unfortunately, so closely related.  Sometimes in this fucked up world, it's so hard to tell them apart.

Peace and Love without Hate,
Larry
