The Moon and the Stars

The Moon and the Stars

Andromeda was like a chocolate bar - nice galaxy,
Alpha Centauri was betwixt and beyond Nux dreams,
the Milky Way was a flake, stretched out with beams,
the Great Bear loved Sirius cast with orange flare.

Three Sisters lured Capricorn and sullen Aquarius,
Orion made love to my star sign, sulky Saggitarius;
there was consternation over a bright constellation,
straight out of a nebulae from a video 'Ranganation.'

That distant star Avelar, they sent me back to Earth,
past the moon that had a dark side, never seen before,
it had roads and rivers, mountains, lush vegetation,
buildings with light pink colours and misty vision.

The Earth had changed since I left, two thirds water,
but now it was three thirds, time to return to Avelar.
