Poem -

the mother way

dreams awake
whilst shadows in the lamplight
sleep, whilst stars beyond the
curtains peep
whilst silence down the hallway
creeps
and tousled heads on pillows lay

whilst someone watchfull, peeks
in, stays
enraptured in
the mother way
to fall on kness, with thanks,
to pray and,
tuck in pudgy hands that stray.
