Poem -

The Consequences of Narssasic Parenting

A lonely figure stripped of pride.
Holes in veins tell no lies.
Behind a smile are tears in the eyes.

Driven by a desire that can not be denied.
Sweat and fever; cold inside.
Strung out, strung up,
with nowhere to hide.

Dreams pushed aside by needles and pain,
life distorted, no more than a filthy stain.
This crazy world drives him insane,
who would listen should he complain.

Can't see the light without blinding his eyes.
Can't feel warmth for fear of being burned.
Can't hear the warning because it is already too late.

Life seemingly sealed by this sickening fate.

I'm not sure if I've made a good start here?
My poem has been viewed but there has been no feedback!
Is this a case of "silence speaks a thousand words?"
Please should anyone have any pointers for me out there, it would be appreciated.....!
