The Nation's Leader

The Nation's Leader

Be it knownĀ

That by this dayĀ

That the leaders be chosenĀ

To lead this great nationĀ

In the steps of their forebearers

No successful nation can be without leadershipĀ

Thy shall know the leader in their ranks, by their deeds, for their humanity; their perseverance, their charity and compassion for the common man and child;Ā

This leader is humaneĀ

This leader is caringĀ

This leader is thoughtfulĀ

This leader is presentableĀ

To the people and theĀ

Worlds great nationsĀ

This leader is knowledgeableĀ

Of world affairs and timesĀ

This leader is compassionateĀ

To the poor of our timesĀ

This leader is passionateĀ

Without any exaggeration andĀ

This leader is strongĀ

Without aggressionĀ

Without revengeĀ

Without maliceĀ

Rather with sincerityĀ

With strength and honorĀ

This leader prevails in the nightĀ

To the midnight hour and beyondĀ

Without seeking favor Ā

Nor exemption from processĀ

This leader is not a hawk nor a doveĀ

This leader is a President of love and compassion firstĀ

Of justice and truth firstĀ

Of morality and thought firstĀ

This leader is one of God,

By God, with God andĀ

Is God fearingĀ

Is the leader in the momentĀ

Today is the day of the leaderĀ

The day of togethernessĀ

Of unityĀ

Of breath

Of courageĀ

By this time we shall knowĀ

And pray for the new PresidentĀ

Of the United States of America

In time we shall know this leader

By deedsĀ and beliefsĀ

Now is the time of leadershipĀ

There is no hesitationĀ

To choose and to electĀ

Our next PresidentĀ
