Poem -

THE NEED TO FEED

THE NEED TO FEED

You sleepĀ
I creepĀ
The darknessĀ
My friendĀ
And coverĀ
For you
demiseĀ
To followĀ

I enter by your windowĀ
Undercover of the nightĀ
Watching as you breathe
Wrapped up nice and tightĀ
I watch the coversĀ
Rise and fallĀ
And watch as you exhale
Very soon your blood removedĀ
Will leave your skin paleĀ
Your body frailĀ

I creep to your bedsideĀ
Slowly slide back the coversĀ
In the next roomĀ
four sleeping brothersĀ
but that doesnā€™t deter,
my mission to take your soul
from your sleeping formĀ
as you moan groan and perspireĀ
your skin so wetĀ
yet liquid fireĀ
as I hideĀ
behind yourĀ
unknowingly desire

With eyes as black as coalĀ
I delve deep within your soulĀ
Your nightmares are mine to makeĀ
Your fears inside expelĀ
With greed I takeĀ
As you lie their unawareĀ
Your pulsating vainĀ
Inside does stareĀ

The hunger that dwindles within
This fragile shellĀ
Needs to feed to relightĀ
The dimming flamesĀ
Feed deep beneath porcelain skinĀ
To renew the fires deep within
Your blood will be my elixirĀ
Renew my pictureĀ
From old to youngĀ
As I puncture
And drainĀ
Your pulsating membraneĀ

To my leftĀ
A baby sleeps soundlyĀ
In its bedĀ
It relies on its motherĀ
To be hourly fedĀ
The baby starts to stir
Legs and armsĀ
Move amongst soft fursĀ
I quickly relocateĀ
Into the night shadowĀ
I dissipate
And watch as babyĀ
WrithesĀ
But baby does not
Ā open eyes
I sooth singing soft lullabyĀ
Ā And he is once more still again Ā

Two elongated fangsĀ
Hang from my hungry mouthĀ
Saliva drips and slips
Between two perfectly formed
twinned peaksĀ
and mix with a riverĀ
of creamy whiteĀ
what a sight toĀ
eyes delightĀ

I lower my head
towards her neckĀ
My breath hangs heavyĀ
Still goes uncheckedĀ
A flash of whiteĀ
Lights the nightĀ
I sink my fangs
With much delightĀ
And gorge until my fire
RelightsĀ

And as I feedĀ
And crimson flowsĀ
My youth insideĀ
Renews and showsĀ
The old frail formĀ
I was beforeĀ
No longer knocksĀ
On bodies doorĀ
As I lay my victimĀ
On the floorĀ
Close the doorĀ
And leave herĀ
On a blood soakedĀ
FloorĀ
Her heart does not beat
Ā no more
Ā her veins blackenedĀ
and drainedĀ
the morning dawns
Ā
