The Never-Ending Pain

As the words ,struggle out of my mouth, She speaks the words, that are the same as a striking sword, My face contorts to a glimmer of pretend “okays” and “alrights". Trying to seem as if there is not a single wound on my body, After we part I lay myself in the eternal darkness of pain, It surrounds me never being able to grasp the light. Sleep eluding my scared mind, Wishing the pain would fade, Wishing she would like me as I like her.
