The new key player

The key players take the game forward;
It is a footy-day today
Climbing each other’s shoulder;
Thought of today

The new player stole the show;
Lighter colors did not fade away
It is a team spirit;
Some retire; taking their way

I wrote; sitting in my chair
Where there is a will, there is a way
“The new player was amazing.”
Many spectators I interviewed on my way
