The North Sea Scrolls

The North Sea Scrolls

It was 4024 AD, they found some writings of history,
they seemed to be fools and waged war constantly;
didn't find a cure for cancer, just moaned full of rancour,
still hadn't found that God was a woman and thanked her.

Fiddling with AI, had no idea of what it really means,
in fact, progression became beyond their wildest dreams;
how did they survive without robots, it was a mystery,
unthinkable now, not coming to your bed with cup of tea.

They hadn't got to flying cars yet, colonised the stars,
how dull it must have been struggling to get to Mars;
using old-fashioned rockets, not come upon magnetism,
thank God that we went further, never had our vision.

An old poem was found, something about 'Fiery Plumes,'
we liked it so much that we stuck it up in all our rooms.
