The ‘Not-so-scary’ Spider ?

I see you scary spider and I know that you see me dangling down from my doorframe so visibly
I wonder if you were not black would you frighten me as much but those spindly, hairy legs of yours are repulsive as such
So isn’t it a shame that your entire body is black just imagine if you had pink, shiney spots and yellow stripes on your back

Now wouldn’t that be a different scenario ? 
I would be welcoming you and not saying “Cherio”
Alas scary spider this is not meant to be as I watch you weaving webs with agility
Mind you I am in awe at your acrobatic skills, your capabilities of climbing gives me horrifying chills
“Bravo” brave spider and “Congratulations” you are too high up for me to cause your oblitherations

The ‘Not-so-scary’ spider could be cuddly and cute wearing eight different funny socks upon each tiny foot
He would just look like a little fluffy ball so not a soul on this earth would fear him at all
Infact we could keep him as a house pet and feed him flies everyday and our little ones would love him and together they’d play
Oh if only our spiders weren’t black and hairy causing me ‘Arachnophobia’ and making me wary
