Poem -

THE OLD COWBOY

The old cowboy
riding through the
west and going home
and not feeling his best
he has been gone a
long time he miss
his family and the girl
he left behind he wrote
to her and she would write back
she waited for him for 20
years as he rides through the
rio grande and past red river
and in to Texas he goes
out to the plains where
where he sent telegram
to let his girl know he was
coming home he
rides to his ranch
where his girl is standing
outside waiting for him
and she runs up to him
and get off the horse
and hugs her and say i am home
for good and they walk in to the house
and live happy ever after

Ok I can see John Wayne ot better Robert Duva ride up to a ranch house and Maureen O Hara runs into his arms.  I love happy endings.  They are possible. Great write

When I was a kid every Saturday morning I would run downstairs to the den climb in my Daddy's big black easy chair and watch old movies for at least two in a row. Saw Randoloh Scott, Richard Widmark, Steve McQueen, Henry Fonda. To name a few.  I WAS in love.
