The Old Withered Tree🌳

“Sshh” I am listening to the whispers thru the wuthering leaves

“Has that wretched wind wrecked you somehow ?”

I can hear the tormented troubles of this tree, as her suffering sighs speak to me

“I am so sorry my lanky limbed old withered tree”, as I listen to this wailing especially for me

You have stood strong and steady for a century or more
