The Only Thing You Could Not Give Us

Inspired by Steven Vitali’s beautiful song “Soul And The Senses”
.
.
You gave to us the utmost joys, your beauty and your love;
Two little Blessed Angels, sent down from skies above!
We treasured every moment, of life we shared with you;
We reveled in the gifts you gave, your love so very true!
.
But the thing you could not give us, was the one we needed most;
More years of your longevity, more Birthdays to you toast!
For reasons unbeknownst to us, poor doggies live not long;
A bad mistake in evolution, that we feel is very wrong!
.
So we cry now for our dear soulmates, taken far too premature;
We are left with endless heartache, forever to endure!
Without you we are so empty, the void that never ends;
We weep for what there should have been, more years with you to spend!
.
.
Time went so quickly
Tomorrow’s dreams are now gone
Today’s pain arrives

My Dear Friend Jason,
Sadness fills our nights
Days laughter disappeared
Our hearts and souls weep
Peace and Love,

Hello Larry and Linda...
As healthy as we are and we age by years one makes one...
Some people are born with a disease that makes them be children and look very old...
Dogs and Cats are 7 years to 1...
Horses life spans are an average of 25-30 years...
Humans are very variable...
You have reminded me why I probably would never get another dog or anything, because the love and the joy they bring and the silly things they do and making me laugh...
I know I love them for as long as I can, but my heart can't handle years of pain...
Thank you for sharing your story and sharing Nico and Cody too...
Best wishes and blessings to you all!
Hugs, Peace, and Love

Our Dear Sweet Sparrowsong,
Linda's and my sentiments exactly. We have been crying for 2 1/2 years over Nico's loss, but Cody, being the last to go, has come close to destroying us. We have decided that we could never endure such pain again, and will honor their lives with us forever. Thank you so much for your beautiful words of love and compassion.
All our love,
Linda and Larry xxx
