THE OWL

O masked raptor of invisible skies.

Holder of the night and all it contains,
Seer of all sight when no light remains,
But for that inner flame,
That darkness cannot cross,
Framed by your eyes,
Into which galaxies ,
Are lost.

O masked raptor of invisible skies.

Senser of all movement,
Then all movement dies,
Until the break of dawn,
When the sun makes its way,
And you release the air,
And the silence,
To the day.

O masked raptor of invisible skies.

Now in the light you return to her hand,
And with Athena you bestow,
Your wisdom,
To man.
