The owl in summer

The moon is full the stars
Are bright as summer is
Upon us just before Dawn
I saw an owl as he was
On the prowl as he had
A scowl On his face as
He sits in his place
The owl In summer sitting
On the tree waiting to
Dance as he glanced at the next
Chance for food as owl Was
In new mood to play games
As he claims what is his
The owl in Summer as he
Sits in a tree on a hot summerĀ
Night the moon is full the stars are
Are bright as the sounds of summer
As the owl listens to the tree frogs
And the crickets as the lightning bugs
Light up the night sky
Ā Ā
The owl in summer as he sits
In a tree the night sky is clear
Bright and shooting star dances
Across the sky and the owl
Flies away over the marsh
On his way homeĀ
The owl in Summer.

Good morning Mr Etsell !
what a lovely poem.We have plenty of birds here, also the owl. The german owl, the little barn owl and the native more pork. And my husband and I make sure the bird
feeders are always full, specially now in Winter time. So, weāre surrounded by birds and nature.Ā

Living in the heart of Tuscany truly has so many perks, summer even though scorching hot I see owls and so much more nature and I so appreciate the backbone of this beautiful work, nature in a poem, what more could one want. š¹Ā
