The owl in winter

The owl in winter
As night time moon is
Full and bright as
He flies looking for food
Winter is calling snow
Is falling and the owl
In winter as he sits in a
Tree in the woods
Where summer once stood
The owl in winter as he
Flies over the rivers and streams
Through the woods looking for
A warm place to sleep as
The snow gets deep
The owl in winter finds
A old barn and the farmer
Is kind the look on his face
As he lets the owl stay in
His place
The owl in winter.

Hello Greg...
I can picture the Owl and the Farmer just having a chat...
To the point each Who Who has a different sound in response...
The Farmer knows that Owl knows something he doesn't...
Great write!
Thank you for sharing...

Thank you
The farmer didnāt say anything
He had a look on his face
He saw the owl
And he didnāt mind
being thereĀ
I understand that...
That was my own imagination...
I wasn't trying to change your Poem in any way...
I love it...
Notice the pin?
Ā
Thank you
I love owls!
Thank you Lisa
me too
I am a great owl fan Greg .. we have many around here and I certainly enjoyed the poetic tale of the Owl in Winter .. They do tend to be farmers friends as they feed on vermin that can destroy crops and seeds ..
We have two special holes (now glazed windows) high up and at each end of my old converted barn which were originally meant to allow owls an entry and exit route and a place to hunt vermin .. I particularly like the image you posted of a snowy owl .. a friend of mine Alf Gosling once had a rescued snowy owl that went everywhere with him ..Ā
Anyway, thanks for posting my friend and I hope life is treating you & yours well .. All Good Things, Neville :)Ā
thank you NevilleĀ

Greg an owl is a magnificent bird and you have made it more magnificent in what you have written.
You are nature's truest observer and is clearly and most evidently proven in what you have lovingly presented.
See and read you soon my friend and thank you for generously sharing.
Thank you ShaunĀ
