The Pain And The Pen Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe

The Pain And The Pen Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe

The pen feels my pain

It scrawls it from my soul’s depths

Ink indelible

My Dear Debs,

Of course my sweet friend.  Whenever I write on the pain of loss, I think of you, Georgina, and myself, who have suffered immensely.  I feel your pain.

Hugs, Peace and Love,

Hi Sweet Rose,

As they say, "The Pen is Mightier Than the Sword".  The pen records my pain for all to see, while the sword attacks my soul.

Love you too,

My dear Larry,

The real, and very potent, power of this piece lies in its simplicity and sincerity. In its contained and concentrated form, there is a store of resonating energy which feels ready to burst forth at any moment.
Surely, that is the mark of a master.

My Dear Friend Jason,

It is always such an honor to me when a greatly gifted poet such as yourself lauds my work.  I will accept your calling me a master, as long as you will allow me to ennoble you with that title too.

Peace and Love,

Larry xxx

My dear Larry,

We may both consider ourselves so ennobled!

By the way...did you know that there was a Japanese short story writer who so loved the works of Poe that he took as his pen name, Edogawa Ranpo?! His book, Japanese Tales of Mystery & Imagination, is well worth reading.

your friend & fan,

J ;)

My Dear Brother Poet Larry,

Again you overwhelm me with your words.  I'm going to have to visit a shrink, to get my ego under control, and I'm going to blame it all on you.  However, I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Peace, Love and Rockets,

Larry xxx
