Poem -

the pain the leaves feel when they fall

for Aunty Silvia

the pain the leaves feel when they fall

today I discovered
leaves when unhand their branches
they dress up
some do acrobatic jumps
others perform
       modern ballet in the air
others imitate magic carpets
others rise
as high as they can and
       then they surf
defying the waves of the wind
others play to be kites

nobody knows the pain
the leaves feel when they fall
nobody knows if they sing or
if they cry or if they keep silent
in that fall
       that as a unique experiment
cannot be repeated
yet leaves fall
yet there are other leaves
about to fall and
there on the ground
all together have a party or
at least, that is what it seems

I don't know the pain
the leaves feel when they fall
if I knew it
if I could mitigate that pain
if I could make them feel better
if I could make them laugh
then I would invent for them
      wonderful stories
of what the leaves do
when they fall

The fish of the sea

Emotions come in waves, as you told your story of pain. Loss is the hardest of all tragedy. I wish you and your family peace and clarity in this uncertain time. TFOTS

Hello.

My Aunty, almost my mother, at 62 has been diagnosed with Parkinson deseas.  I thought I could make a poem to make her smile, but unfortunately I failed.

Thanks for your kind words, I wish you peace to you too.

It's all the nature's magic, and the natural course of all lives.

I agree, nature, magic, the course of life, dust to dust, poetic, very poetic if you are a  I falling leaf with a parachute on your back and being welcomed by others who cheers the adventure.  I used to believe that, until you see that rock of your confidence being crushed and fading on size and faith by the day, wishing to have it all over and done because nobody understand your pain, because it’s not fair for some people to live, whatever life remaining, in excruciating pain day and night.

I learned, the pain you feel has no comparison, is unique, it could be the the biggest pain ever in the world.

For almost everything in life I have an opinion, for somebody living in pain... my heart finds no words, and in my weak humanity I turn to God and pray

100% agree with you, Edwin. Think many would have something similar one way or another. I do hope you stay strong, and who cares what others say - this is my way to deal with "the world of popularity". Believe you can fly and also can touch the sky, my friend. Cheers!
