~ The Path And The Cross ~
No matter where you walk
Or what you're searching for
You will find no higher path above
Nor safer road below
Than the path leading you to God's Love
Plan out everything as you wish
Still, there will be pain and suffering
Deep within your life
Whether you wish it or not
You must bear the same version
Of the holy cross
Sometimes God may leave you
To your own devices
Sometimes your neighbor
Will cause you to be distraught
And inevitably, at some point
You will become lost
God wants you to endure affliction
A lesson you need to learn
To submit yourself to Him
To become truly humble
By experiencing that which hurts
And not coincidentally
Teaches you to walk your own path
And to bear your own cross...
