The Perfect Gift

That time of the year has come again,
The time of good wishes
For our friends and families
Far and near.
Time of choosing gifts
For those that are dear to us;
Expression of our love,
Under the Christmas tree.

The Perfect Gift was chosen
A long time ago;
Lovingly wrapped and laid
In a stable, then nailed to the cross
The expression of love
From our heavenly father
For you and me.

As you unwrap
Your gift under the Christmas tree
On Christmas morning,
Remember the Perfect Gift
That was nailed to a Calvary tree
For you and me
The Perfect Gift of Love
That matter most-
The Lord Jesus Christ.
