The Philosopher's Metaphysical Soup

The Philosopher's Metaphysical Soup

Faith, comes in a moment's time
The laurels, with the seasons strive
Vices, come as habitual
It is in those moments, that the deepest
Most profound, most realistic
Bits of our belief system
Are cemented into the foundation
Of our ever-evolving rationale,
Where we somehow disregard
Thousands of years of philosophy
Which we somehow see as old,
And the lessons
Of our ancestral heritage
Become chambers, and libraries
Of Metaphysical
Redundancy...

How can we know our soul
Without attempting to learn these things?
Every culture's Bible
Every writing upon ancient walls,
Every misunderstood monument
That modern architects
Cannot even reproduce,
Are we doomed
To this cyclical repetition
Of the death of all that is man's wisdom?
Do we just put reincarnation
Into a newly packaged trash bag?
Or, do we create a Metaphysical Soup
And learn to ingest,
And benefit from
Everything,
That is another man's
Contribution,
To the universal understanding
Of our own,
Ever-evolving,
Souls...

Hi Tony In my opinion what you say in your write
is maybe that faith is not our own at the beginning
maybe it is instilled in us by other people men of god and
such, and perhaps later on in your write you say we find
out for ourselves the real truth, by questioning all aspects of
the metaphysical. And our faith come`s from questions
and finding out about these proofs that others have found to be true
Therefore only  when we believe these findings only then can our souls evolve
(Sorry for rambling and only my interpretation):-) A deep thought provoking write
I come away as a reader thinking of many possibilities
and to delve deeper into the spiritual and metaphysical
Great write definitely one i will think about for a good while
respect my friend  Love n hugs Debs xo

Thanx so much DEBS!! ~ for taking a REALLY good look at this one.....there's a LOT there......you touched on most of it......this was inspired by much of the research I've done for my blog........when you start learning just how big the world of varying belief systems are....the more you come to understand that we are all standing on the shoulders of those who have come before us........that we are all products of our environments and our own personal experiences.......and that ultimately we are ALL energy evolving......taking our personal experiences with us upon death........so yes, like you said ~ faith comes from questions and finding out the proofs that others before us have discovered and then deciding for ourselves what works best for us......building your own personal belief system seems to be the common denominator in all cultures and civilizations in our past and that being comfortable within our inner most personal relationship, with whatever we consider to be our creator, is the goal we most respect in ourselves when we eventually have to greet our death. Whatever the path you take in this life is just as important as any other persons path or personal beliefs......the foundation of which...for ALL cultures I've ever studied is Love.....Love of self, others, and our relationship with whatever we name our creator.......everyday, we are ALL moving forward, seeking, it is inherent in all people who walk the face of the earth......making each of us INCREDIBLY rare and special.....no matter where we're from or what we believe.......our personal experiences are unique and worthy of respect in the eyes of our creator, making us all equally important.......this poem touches only a small part of what I truly believe......but I find it VERY interesting that your comment that you expressed a desire to delve deeper into the spiritual and the Metaphysical.......it is a truly enlightening path whose only reward is humility and Love.......sorry for rambling here......it's just that I felt inspired by your comment to share a small piece of who I am with you....perhaps we have similar paths to walk......who knows......the universe has a mind of its own (lol)........thanx again for this......and I hope I didn't say anything to offend or disillusion you my friend........hugs-n-smiles......ttyl......T xo

Mr Tony T!! Great write brother this one hits home with me. I believe we all experience our own versions of IT at some point in our lives. And that the ones that do find it can spread the light around in their own ways as well. But we just have to want to find it... we have the option. Its a beautiful thing! Again great stuff brother keep em coming!

Comprehensive appraisal of mankinds evolution in understanding and belief, to arrive at the point where we strive to answer big philosophical debates with less open minds than we have had in the past. The knowledge we have gained from science and research may restrict our ability to grasp metaphysical concepts and envisage other plains of existence or spiritual phenomenon.

Great write !

Best wishes ! :)

Hi T`,

This is a superbly well written piece and I urge people to read your blog and the many discussions that we`ve both had on this subject. Well done Beasty. You know my opinions on this subject so I won`t bore you with more, just to say that this is a wonderful write and I agree with all you have said. We as human beings have a lot to learn yet! But that journey is so exciting, with surprises around every corner for us! We just need to sit and reflect on life more and to slow down and concentrate on the important things in life rather than materialistic things. Well done sweetie for another superb write on a fascinating subject!

Love G xx
