The piano and the rose

The piano and the rose

The piano and the rose
She wear clothes like a rose
She sat at the piano playing
They were always saying that she
Dress like a rose and she
Pose by the piano and the rose

Let’s all sing and dance
around the piano and the rose
The sun will shine through the
Doors and at night the moon
Shine through the doors
On the piano and the rose

Their may be clouds and rain
And snow outside but everyone
Will sing and dance
Around the piano and the rose
No one cries when they sing and dance
Around the piano and the rose.

In my minds eye, I can clearly imagine where the inspiration for this fine poem came from .. I only hope she has not popped out of them French windows for a quick cigarette .. Here's hoping you & yours have a super swell Christmas and a Happy New Year .. N :)

Hello Greg
Such softness spills from this piece. How many families over the years have gathered round a piano. I know as a child I did. Thanks for the fond memories. You do the painting proud with your elegant lines x
