The Poets’s Dance

The Poets’s Dance

There are words that poets write
that stretch along a golden stage,
and bring beauty and life to the dreams
we imagine on lonely nights.

The dreams of hope and love.
The sumptuous sound of a nightingale’s song.
The wonders of the stars above.
The thrill of a requited love.

The words that pierce like a burning lance
are the movements of the poet’s dance.
