The power of sun

Sun shining in a clear blue sky
Dogs barking
as the cars go by
Road works rip the road apart

Children going to school
feeling sad and blue
Old and young doing their own thing
Children laugh on the parks
playing on the swings

Lawnmowers go clack
as the grass fly’s high
Couples kiss
then wave goodbye
Birds nest in the trees
People with hay fever start to sneeze

It’s a lovely day or so we think
Smelly gutters full
giving a terrible stink
Sun beats down its rays of light
Burning skins hurt
 through the night

Mothers ready
 to give birth to their young
People in prison hoping
one day to be sprung
Folks sat outside there pubs
Footballers come home
 caked in mud

Sun still shinning down on all,
 it sees picnickers hiding beneath the trees
Too much sun will have you on your knees
So here`s my plea to you one and all
Cover up, block those rays llive life and have happy days
