The promise

The promise

My life did not start until you came into it
I had never had a dad and I freaking cried
You made my mom smile the biggest I'd ever seen
I wiped my eyes several times making sure I could see  clear
my nightmares and fears
Poof disappear
I had found the man to show me the way holding onto you tight
Vroom as we speed off on a trike
Couple years and you made it clear you're riding with us wiping our tears then the words that forever haunt me
“I'll never ever leave you”
I just looked at you smiling
ear to ear like “dad I just wanna play with your beard”
Then the time came CANCER and it wasn’t a joke
Want to know the first thing that's going?
it's your VOICE BOX
How could I hear you sing?
all I could do was scream
 The hole in your throat
The BLOOD BATHS  All over the bathroom floor
the breathing machine is something I wish I could unsee
You squeezing my hand is our last memory
Then I woke up something was wrong
I open my door what do I see ?
You going in a black bag
Leaving me
