The Rains Fell Neatly

The Rains Fell Neatly

The rains lie softly against thy skin
A refreshing revival
On a midsummner's day.

I see the beads bouncing
Upon the blacktop,
—Dancing.

Its sounds percuse
Against thy ear,
Trickling down upon thy face.

The roars of thunder
Relinquishing its power
Striking the ground
Over again

The flashes of light
Cast glorious crowns
Unto thy heavens above.

Oh how neatly
The rains did fall.
