The Red Day

The Red Day

Christmas,
a season of giving,
giving, give, gone,
a season of helping,
helping, help, helped,
a season of joy,
joyful, joy, joyless,
a season to remember,
terrifying, terror, terrified,
a season to be calm and stop,
stopping, STOP, stopped,
a season of horrors reborn in the memories of millions,
of a cold night and a massacre in a time of peace,
a day the world celebrates while those in their unmarked graves weep.
