THE RIGHT RULER
Everyone believes in the thing they believe in...
Getting a new ruler?
We say...
President...
Who loves this country?
Who doesn't have a problem with destroying it?
Are they going to consider all the people of the land?
The poor?
The homeless?
The addict?
Are they going to have our backs or feed us to predators?
Are they going to set us up so we take the fall?
Are they going to raise us up?
Can we become...
A Great Nation?
A nation of Unity?
Or remain...
As is or worst?
Wouldn't it be sweet if we could be?
GREAT!
A nation that...
Loves and Cares For Their People...
To experience it at least...
Once?

hey, sparrowsong, I find this write so fascinating to read and I love the passion coming off the page, hey, I'm not political at all, and gosh darnit I'm from Canada as well, so I really don't 'get it' or believe that anything changes on New Years Day, no matter who gets in; as my favourite band U2, once said... I find great drama and intrigue in America politics, though, and who doesn't?  It is 'must see TV' My oldest son was giddy with excitement to watch the Republican Convention, he's 26 highly educated, highly informed with a good job, and hunts Pokeomon and boasts about it as well, lol... our Prime Minister is a 'rock star' but I have no freakin clue what he believes, but he's popular as hell around here....in my heart of hearts I can't see the Republicans winning this, but the process is incredibly entertaining, and at the end of the day what else can we all hope for, are we not pawns in this game?....you pull quoted lines I have to agree with, good write sis, you said a mouth -full in your own 'sparrowsong way' cheers, good stuff, thanks for the 'education'  Â
