The Room Of Our Love

I awoke with a demanding hunger
It said that I should comply
From a deep sleep and the sweetest of dreams, I cursed the sky
The steadfast moon and gargoyle clouds
Stars shone, but a darkened memory still enshrouds
Where is that dream?
Where can I look?
Risen are the superstitions that bring the rains of sorrow
Can I dare to hope for tomorrow?
For I have searched this once cosmic-lit, wondrous, palatial house
Where we once let our flaming hearts burn it to a cinder
And tonight I have searched
In the frantic manner of a famished wolf
Love is what I see
The story of you and me
The room of our love awaits
Where my heart shall be
