The Ruler

I see a 12 inch ruler or a rule on my desk, beside my computer.
And it reminds me of a lot a lot of things.
That some can be short , or long, like the rule of some dictators or autocrats.
Or like the rule of some nice/good ethical rulers.
It reminds me of the rule of law which we try our best to live by;
Or the Rules of the Bible called the Commandments.
If we were to live by them, and even follow the Golden Rule pointedly,
With Rigidity,
Then This world would be a much better place.

Some rulers are old some are young/new
Some like me, have already served their time; or purpose -as the case may be.
Some like the vane things of life can be costly or cheap. 
Some are attractive some are worn.
The Ruler is saying to me follow me  like you use me to draw the straight and narrow,
And you cannot go wrong.
He is beckoning to me (Like as king on a throne), admonishing me, beseeching me
To follow the straight & Narrow, to Walk the Golden Rule.
And The simple message that a simple RULER is sending to these Thieving so called 'rulers'
The Selfish Politricksians is to play by the rules and stay inside the line with fairness and compassion.
But instead they break up the rules, ignore the RULER and ignore the ULTIMATE RULER (GOD) and play outside the line-selfishly.
They need only to listen to the softly spoken, softly speaking, almost silent RULER.

It's almost like the RULER is staring at me, Talking to me in a whisper.
"One Minute-Please Sir, Mister Stranger, Please Wait!"
"This is a bitter sweet world, with a bitter sweet fate."
And Giving me a message to disseminate.
