Poem -

The sea and the man

Listen to the sea,

To her sad and lonesome tale,

That she murmurs and laments,

For one who is not here.

Taken long ago,

Their love was wild and fierce,

Like the crashing of waves,

She sky's only daughter,

And he a simple man,

Discovered in their passion,

Crushed by sky's rage,

Banished from the sea,

Love faded with time,

Time swept away thoughts of the sea,

And the memories they had shared.

The sea never forgot,

And she never forgave,

Swore she would find,

And bring back her love,

She tore at the cliffs,

Determined to never give up,

Or give in,

And to this day still,

She crashes against the cliffs,

Or waits still and tense,

Trying to work out a way,

To defy the rocks, the sky and time.
