The Seashore

When I was a child we used to take a vacation by the shore 
I remember walking barefoot in the sand 
and collecting seashells my sister and I would get up early 
and walk out on low tide that was the best time to get seashells 
we were beach bums all summer long my mother and I 
and my sister would hang out at the cottage my dad had to work but he came down to the beach on the weekend when it was high tide 
I did not swim but once when my sister was crossing the break rocks 
she got carried away by the waves luckily my parents were close by
and rescued her I remember going out in a row boat and the waves got choppy I was rowing my hardest to get to shore my sister was in the boat with me and when I reached the shore I was totally  exhausted 
it taught me a lesson not to go out in high tide anyway I love the ocean 
and the beach there are so many cute shops down by the water
and I also remember Garvins store I used visit when we were at the beach
but the best part was walking on the bearkrocks and collecting 
seashells memories I cherish forever
