The Seven Year Glitch

It broke your heart when he had to leave us, we worried that you’d  follow suit;
But somehow, you survived your sorrow, your love for us so resolute!
But too soon you had to join him, another unfair family glitch;
Just fourteen when we lost you, for more years with you we’d wished!

So today our tears are falling, for our fallen little boy;
With sad memories of that horrid day, the one that ended all our joy!
We held you oh so tightly, as you sailed to the stars;
And joined your brother Nico, in the Heavens so afar!
