THE SHEPARD AND HIS SHEEP AND DOG

THE SHEPARD AND HIS SHEEP AND DOG

The shepard and his sheep and dog
Were wondering in the desert when He
Saw light in the  mountain but he
Walked on and then he met and old
Woman dressed white she pointed to
Mountains the shepard say i must
Get home to my wife and he walks
On and then he met a old man
Dressed in black and he pointed
To the mountain where the light
Is now brighter the shepard say
Imust go home to my wife
And he walked on and then
Falcon flys from mountain
And landeds on his shoulder
And whispers in his ear and
Flys back to the mountain
The shepard say i must get
Home to my wife and he walks
On then the rain and snow the wind
Came and then he say i must get
Home my wife and day and days goes
Go by and gets home to his wife
And she say your late he say i know
The lord as been calling i told
Them i must se my wife frist
She say dinner is ready
After dinner the shepard
Walks to the mountain
And light goes out
The shepard and his sheep
And dog story

Greg, a gemstone to read then reread for your poem brings back happy memories when I was a kid and the next door's neighbour sheep dog called Louie and the long walks I would offer to take him on.
Great memories now recalled with a great dog all happily recalled through reading your captivating poem.
Thanks for sharing Greg and thank you for the happy memories too.

Greg, I'm glad you did for it is a fine and engaging read and for those memories as well.
And poetry should never be a permanent fix but updated and as you say brought forward to enlighten new readers.
