THE SHEPARD AND HIS SHEEP AND DOG
The shepard and his sheep and dog
Were wondering in the desert when He
Saw light in theĀ mountain but heĀ
Walked on and then he met and oldĀ
Woman dressed white she pointed to
Mountains the shepard say i mustĀ
Get home to my wife and he walks
On and then he met a old manĀ
Dressed in black and he pointedĀ
To the mountain where the lightĀ
Is now brighter the shepard say
Imust go home to my wifeĀ
And he walked on and thenĀ
Falcon flys from mountainĀ
And landeds on his shoulder
And whispers in his ear and
Flys back to the mountain
The shepard say i must get
Home to my wife and he walksĀ
On then the rain and snow the wind
Came and then he say i must getĀ
Home my wife and day and days goes
Go by and gets home to his wifeĀ
And she say your late he say i know
The lord as been calling i toldĀ
Them i must se my wife fristĀ
She say dinner is readyĀ
After dinner the shepardĀ
Walks to the mountainĀ
And light goes outĀ
The shepard and his sheepĀ
And dog storyĀ

Greg, a gemstone to read then reread for your poem brings back happy memories when I was a kid and the next door's neighbour sheep dog called Louie and the long walks I would offer to take him on.
Great memories now recalled with a great dog all happily recalled through reading your captivating poem.

this is smashing Greg .. I have a Border Terrorist myself & she is called Brulee .. I do believe that Borders have been used by shepherds in the past ... N :)
