Poem -

THE SILENCE OF MY ROOM

I sit in the silence of my room and listen to the voices of the past thay tell me to apolopize for one last time for all things I say, I sit in the silence of my room and close my eyes and I see the face of the past there sad and mad and in lonely places, The silence of my room is dark I here the trains and the rain and listen to the pain,I sit in The silence of my roomĀ and wirte poems and storys about love and death and letters of apologies,I sit in the silence of my room and watch the moon and the stars and soon the voices say its another day,I sit in the silence of my room and cry one last time about Ā the faces from the past,I sit in the silence of my room looking Ā out the window I see the clouds passing by, rainbows in the sky,i lay here in the sound of silences and fall a sleep in the of silence of my room.

Hey GREG!!..... compelling piece !......I think as writers we often need the time in silence ....for it is in the moments of meditation and reflection is where (at least for me) I begin to uncover the truth about how my environment is affecting me and what it is that God is enabling and asking me to pursue......ALL STARS!!......thanx fo this brother poet!!..... LOVE and ROCKETS!!......T xo ?āœ³āœ“ā˜€

Dear Greg,

When I was just a teenager, I liked a well known tune
It was sung by the famous Beach Boys, and it was titled "In My Room"
It was very, very quiet there, only silence did I hear
As I thought about my inhibitions, and all my youthful fears

Now fifty plus years later, I am doing just the same
In the quietude of my loneliness, I pen poems and gain some fame
I write about my saddened past, and talk about my pain
Then I fall asleep and dream awhile, till I wake and write again

Peace and Love,
Larry xxx

Such a thoughtful poem. Ā Makes me think about my silent moments. Sometimes in my room, sometimes walking in the woods on trails. Remembering good and sad times. Now I will think of your poem during those moments.
