THE SILENT STREAM CALLS

Curious minds

THE SILENT STREAM CALLS

Only little ones
We wondered from home
Mom’s voice faded to a dull silence.

Giggling along the way
We played with whatever we found
Until our eyes reflected the silent stream.

Why is it
That such beauty and hearts delight
Hides itself between the rocks and shaded leaves,
Only revealing itself if stumbled upon.

Gasping for air
We stared at this marvel,
Words failing the lips
But clouding the mind of  curious adolescents.

Unaware of the sitting sun
We followed the silent stream
To its journeys end
Clutching each other in the dark
Un afraid of the night, until the sun returns.
