The start

I've been writing poems for as long as I can remember.
When I was little I didn't know that they were poems.
When I got older I learned, that they are indeed poems, but it wasn't socially acceptable to write them.
Now it's cool to write them but you have to be good, but by what standards?
Where's the line from a deeply moving and inspiration poem and trying to mimic someone else?
There's always been a voice that says the most beautiful and sometimes heart wrenching things; and not the voice that I speak with.
It's a voice only I can hear.
And the only way for me to let others hear that voice too, is to write it down.
That's what the voice wants: to be heard.
That's also what I've always wanted.
Since the start.
