Home

I’ve always heard home isn’t a place.
But the end of that saying always differs.
I’ve heard so many different versions of it; some say it’s a feeling and some say it’s the company you keep.
But I’ve now realized my version: home isn’t a place, it’s you.
I’ve never felt more comfortable, at peace, loved, or ā€œat homeā€ than when I’m with you.
Even on my bluest days, just hearing your voice or looking into your eyes makes everything a little better.Ā
As a child I never knew what ā€œhomeā€ was.
I wish I could tell my younger self, that we finally found our home.
