THE STORM CEASED

THE STORM CEASED

Darkness had overshadowed
My aching heart
My mind embraced
Suicidal thoughts

The cares of life
Were too much for me
I was trapped in quicksand
Impossible to be freed

The storms of life tossed me
Like dust in the wind
And at midnight of my life
I saw the Son of God
On the raging sea, casually walking

He came towards me
With assurance in his eyes
He never chastised me
Or recalled my lies

He gently reached out
His nail scared hand
And snatched me from
The graves master plan.
