Poem -

the stray cat

every day she walks around the stray cat
she walk with her little paws in the sun and the rain
she doesn't think she is ever going to get fat
so she walks into others gardens looking for something to gain

will someone offer her food when she is cold
she doesn't have a place to call her home
she wonders on the streets without that love that feels like gold
is she really less than other cats and why doesnt she deserve rome

in the winter and the summer she feels so alone
and the nights are the worst because where is her bed
she sometimes wants a pillow but she only gets a stone
where on earth is she going to rest her head

she gets so thirsty she sometimes drinks rain water
she doesnt really know how to spend her days
sometimes this cat wishes this life was hotter
well maybe not hotter but a life with more warm sun rays

Brilliantly provocative and reflective of a soul on the outside longing to be seen.
