The Streaking of the Pearl

Cold
Its breath
Like fingers
Crawling
Up the walls
Up the walls
Up then in my body
Freezing me
Time slipping
Remembering…
Jumpin in the car
Sis laughin
Giggling
Mom callin
Driving
White descending
covering all
the squeal of tires
the slow of time
SIS
Slam!
Crunch!
Screams echo
crimson drops
Staining the pearly snow
I look back
My sister
A mass
With no shape
Red
Her warm laugh
Silenced
Her spark in her
Dimmed Till
A glasslike flatness
Covers,
Covers her eyes
I gag and turn away
Are you okay
a man yells
He seems so far away
I can't be here
I stumble
Wiggling out of the car
Running
Stumbling
tears running
Burning tracks down my cheeks
Crack snap
Splash*
The freezing water
Crawling to me
Freezing water
Solidifying like walls
Suffocating
Black replacing white
Gasp
Black*

Wow... Jason, what can I say. Just such a powerful and dark read. I can`t imagine what you have gone through, you have a lot of courage to post such an experience. I want to follow you, this poem was very emotional, though excellently written. Enjoyed it a lot.
Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate responses. I hope by doing this I can encourage or inspire others to be strong enough to do the same. Its helped me with so much, an now I want to share it with others.
Hello Jason, this is such a courageous write. I am so pleased writing is helping you. Poetry is a powerful tool, and your pen is mighty. You definitely drew the reader in with your creative visuals, that gave a glimpse of that moment, which must of been horrific. I am so sorry you suffered this

This is a striking and powerful poem. You have left your readers in no doubt of the absolute horror suffered. This is pain that will last a lifetime and by writing this brilliant poem on it you are showing great strength ...it will not consume you. It is now tucked away in a draw somewhere in your mind where you can look at it if you want but otherwise it is safely kept away from your every waking thought. What a horrific thing to have had happen to you. I am sorry about your losses suffered that day. You are brave beyond belief to not only write this but write it so well x
