THE SUFFRAGETTES

THE SUFFRAGETTES

Nearly a hundred years ago to the day
Women were fighting for the vote and to have their say
These women were courageous, brave and strong
They believed the country had got it wrong

I for one applaud the actions of the Suffragette
A moment in history we should not forget
One of the most famous Suffragettes was Emily Davison of course
Who was killed by King George the fifth's Epsom Derby horse

So Ms Pankhurst, Ms Davison and the others too
All the women around the country should be proud of you
