The Suicidal Cloud

The Suicidal Cloud

Indescribable yet frightening
Beaming with pride
Radiance disguising
A monstrous storm inside

Lies built up to form a reflection
Insecurity beating its inner core
Hoping to God to keep the connection
The connection of demons galore

Strength was lost upon the beauty of this beast
For once you have been touched you've learned the power of decease

Warned not to fall into the depths of hell
The realization became nothing more than a fail
The moment ended quickly, not a thought did it think
Until the water became concrete and its life soon extinct

It was "Lights Out", in other words.
I'd like to say that I have never contemplated suicide, Sarah.
I'd like to say that but unfortunately it would make me a liar.
I suffer from PTSD and adult night terrors so horrific and so lucid that the lines between what is imagined and what is real have become blurred in the past.
Now I've learned to channel that negative energy in my writing to get the poison out of my system.
Hey...it's a living (no pun intended).
Nicely penned–very expressive.
