The Sun and the Moon

The Sun and the Moon
 
He removed the cross nailed from my back
Made up for all the tender moments I lack
 
Just like a meadow lark he let me fly free
Opened my eyes and gave me vision to see
 
He raised me from the ashes within the fire
And now his love is all my heart desires
 
He lifted my heart up during times of sorrow
Shed his everlasting light on a new tomorrow
 
From the clear blue sky he brought fourth rain
Meant to wash away all of my undying pain
 
His loving touch is as warm as the golden sun
He sees that down a new path I’ve begun
 
His gracious love fills an endless aching need
From the demons of the past he sees me freed
 
Life is the everlasting journey of the soul
He sees that my burdens don’t take their toll
 
He is the shining sun and the silver moon
And I pray that I will see him again soon
 
I send him all of the love in my tender heart
While waiting for the dove of peace to part
 
I searched  heavenly skies and the endless sea shore
But with his sacred love I need to search no more
