The Sunflower Girl

The Sunflower Girl

There she stood in a manner that no other could,Ā
The wind weaving its way through her fingertips and through the wisps of her hair,Ā
The summer sun did its dance against her skin, leaving her with an unforgettable warmth,Ā
She twisted against the thorns at her sideĀ
And brushed against the dark creatures that made their way to the most sacred parts of her mind,
She scratched at the black ink that so desperately tried to stain her golden heart,Ā
As she once again looked up at the dancing sun,Ā
"Let your light dance on me once more," she says,
The sun ceased it's dance and looked down towards the Earth,Ā
"You are the light, little Sunflower Girl."Ā
Ā
